What is the difference between a private and a group tour?

A private tour is reserved only for your group. It can be tailored to individual needs and interests, and organized around your schedule. They are best suited for parties larger than two or for people with a specific vision and agenda in mind. Group walks, on the other hand, are comprised of up to eight people all participating in a pre-scheduled walk. A calendar of these group walks can be found on our website, and times may be added upon request.

Do group tours require a minimum in order to confirm?

Most walks require at least two participants to run, although there is some variation among the tours. Each page lists the specific minimum required for confirmation under “product description.”

Can I buy wine at the tasting?

Absolutely. All wines presented during our tour are available for purchase at the enoteca where the tasting occurs.

Can we bring our children on our food tour tour?

Please do! We recommend that you reserve a private tour if your children are under the age of 13. Please remember that there is some walking involved. As far as food tastings/samples go, if you’re bringing children, simply note that when you book and we would be happy to accommodate your needs.

Can we bring our children to a wine tasting?

The legal drinking age in Italy is 16. Participants must be at least 16 years old to participate in a wine tasting. If you are comfortable with your child attending in a wine tasting, feel free to book for them, too! There will be plenty of appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks to be enjoyed. Tastings in an enoteca are a great educational tool in a controlled and enjoyable environment where you will learn not only about Italian wines but also about Italian food and wine culture.
